Colon700 aka Colonex700 Scam

On their website, they attempt to associate quotes from MSNBC and CBS News regarding colon cancer stats to their product. This is misleading, as those news companies do NOT endorse this product.

The scam: If you sign up for the 15 day trial, you won't receive the product for almost a week, which leaves you 7 days to try it. If you fail to contact them and return the product during that 7 day window, they automatically send you 2 more months worth and charge your credit card $78.
Reports from around the web cite difficultly in contacting for cancellations. Since they offer no phone number and only an email address.

Some were successful in getting a partial refund. Most were not.

Our advice... steer clear of this product.

I was one of the stupid ones

I was one of the stupid ones who fell for this scam!! Now I am trying to get my money back that they put on my credit card unauthorized. had to cancel the card. What is wrong with this world?

I was one too. They didnt

I was one too. They didnt even send the first for the free trial, they just sent two at the same time and charged my card.

I ordered this product for

I ordered this product for the free trial and wasn't aware that it was a 15 day free trial until after I placed my order. I never received anything within the 15 day trial period and my credit card was charged $88.97 on Dec 22, 2008. I placed my order on Dec 3, 2008 and didn't receive anything until Jan 2, 2009 and the package contained 2 bottles of the Colon 700. I read the 1st sentence on the enclosed insert that read "We are glad that you have enjoyed the ColonMed700 free trial product and have decided to continue a proactive approach to a healthier life." The thing is I never received the 1st bottle. The insert did provide a phone number, email and a website in which I could cancel, which I did using the website. (www.colonmed700.com/cancel)

I'm another victim of this

I'm another victim of this scam too and my story is virtually the same. Funny things is both me and my husband clicked into the same site and it seems he got signed up with someone else than me so when he tried to cancel with the site I used he got denied saying his account didn't exisit and when we checked the confirmation emails they were differet. mines listed maxcolonsupport and his was colonaid, yet we clicked in the same link. Also after canceling they are still trying to charge my account, so I had to resort to cancelling my cc number and getting a new one. I will never again do this. so just beware even though you cancel double check your creditcard for any more charges for at least a few months to be safe if your keeping your same number.
